Welcome! My name is Sylvia Jackman

Sylvia established Clear Vision College Counseling from her personal journey as the daughter of immigrants and her deep understanding of the importance, value, and sacrifice it takes to earn a degree. Growing up, Sylvia witnessed firsthand the relentless determination of her parents who left their homeland, overcame language barriers, and worked tirelessly to create opportunities for their children. Their unwavering support and encouragement made her realize that education is not just an individual endeavor, but a collective effort that involves the whole family.

Through Clear Vision College Counseling, Sylvia aims to provide guidance and support to aspiring college students, sharing her personal experiences, and empowering students to navigate the often challenging college application process. Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a community to help each student achieve their dreams in higher education.

Sylvia’s mission at Clear Vision College Counseling is to assist students in making the best higher education choice for themselves. She believes that each student is unique and has their own life plans, interests, and talents. Therefore, it is crucial to find institutions that aligns with their individual goals and provides the resources necessary for their success.

In her work with students and their families, Sylvia strives to be sensitive to their needs and perspectives. By creating a supportive and inclusive environment, she aims to help students navigate the complex world of higher education while staying true to their authentic selves. When students thrive both on and off campus, it is a win for the entire community. Let’s win together!!!

As a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), Sylvia is dedicated to providing the highest level of professional guidance to students and their families in navigating the complex college admissions process.
